Business Manager - Development, Support and Advice
In a positive move to provide increased business support and advice to its clients and with a view to attracting new business through its “hands on” philosophy, Winburn Glass Norfolk (WGN), the Leeds-based Chartered Accountants, Business and Tax Advisors, has created the new position of Business Manager, dedicated to the task and appointed Pamela Beaton to fulfil the role.
Appointment of Pamela Beaton
The decision to create the new position was influenced by the closure of Business Link’s advisory, coaching and mentoring services, as part of the public sector cutbacks, according to Partner, Colin Glass. “At a time when sustainable SMEs are needed more than ever to fuel recovery in the economy, when we are experiencing difficult economic conditions, we believe WGN’s entrepreneurial model can, to some degree, replace the support mechanism that is being stripped back as part of the Government cuts.” “We, at WGN, believe that we have a responsibility to our clients, and where we can help in their general business development, we should. It’s just basic common sense; the more successful our clients are, the more successful we will be.”
Business Growth Fund grant scheme
This grant is designed to help small businesses based in Leeds to expand and recruit local residents. The grant is limited to 20%* of Capital costs, subject to a maximum grant of £10,000 and a minimum of £1000.
