Claire Turner and Jane Tindall were proud to host a table of clients and business contacts at the Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards held at The Armouries on Friday 20 May 2011. The event was in aid of Wheatfields Hospice run by Sue Ryder, the National Healthcare Charity.
We also congratulate Dawn O'Keefe, a client of WGN, who won the Business Award at the event. Dawn set up a social enterprise business in one of Leeds' most deprived areas. After raising £4.5 million to regenerate and save an old school building in Harehills, Shine was launched. Since its opening nearly three years ago Shine has and is continuing to make a social impact on the local area bringing together corporate clients with entrepreneurs, generating new business and heading up a £100k community garden project.
