Colin is a founding Partner of WGN. He is passionate about helping small businesses reach their full potential and has been involved in the development of a significant number of diverse start-ups and SMEs. He is a non-executive director of a number of public companies and also of several private companies, which WGN are helping to develop with a view to future trade sale or flotation.
Colin is a well-respected, highly experienced financial and corporate advisor with a wide range of contacts across all sectors of business and industry. He is a non-executive director of several fast-growing companies, including Surgical Innovations Group plc, Straight plc and GETECH Group plc, which are quoted on AIM. He is a founder shareholder and non-executive finance director of TheBusinessDesk.com that now operates across three regions centred in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
In 2006, Colin won the Star in Practice Award from the West Yorkshire Society of Chartered Accountants. In 2007, the Institute of Directors Yorkshire and Humber named Colin Business Advisor of the Year and in 2008 Non-Executive Director of the Year.
In 2011 he was named Non-Executive director of the year at the Grant Thornton sponsored Quoted Company Awards.
